For mobile truck repair in New Richmond, Neuman Truck Service comes to the truck. That can be a plant lot in the business park, a farm drive off a county road, or the shoulder of WIS-64. Our base is in Pine City, Minnesota, and we take calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
New Richmond sits at a crossroads of two-lane Wisconsin and the Twin Cities. The St. Croix Crossing and four-lane WIS-64 put the city close to the Twin Cities metro. Plenty of trucks here split their week between the two. When one breaks down, we fix it on the spot and give you an estimate before we start. We back the repair with a 12-month warranty.
Highways We Cover Around New Richmond
- WIS-64
- WIS-65
- WIS-35
- I-94
- MN-36
WIS-64 is the main line west. It starts at the St. Croix Crossing, the four-lane bridge that opened in August 2017. The bridge carries MN-36 traffic from Oak Park Heights, near Stillwater, into Wisconsin. From there WIS-64 is a freeway past Houlton to Somerset, then an expressway with at-grade intersections until 145th Street in New Richmond. East of WIS-65 it narrows to a two-lane road and heads across Dunn and Chippewa counties toward Medford. Those at-grade crossings on the expressway section deserve respect when you're driving a loaded truck.
WIS-65 runs through town as Knowles Avenue. To the south it goes through Roberts to I-94 at Exit 10, the quick way to Hudson and the interstate. To the north it reaches US-8 near Deer Lake, east of St. Croix Falls. County Roads A, CC and K cover the rest. On back roads like these, trucks collect the wear that leads to suspension repair. That means broken leaf springs, worn bushings and air bags that start leaking after a season of potholes.
Serving New Richmond Fleets
Manufacturing, health care and retail drive New Richmond's economy. The Business and Technical Park covers about 107 acres off WIS-65 at the south end of town. The city's economic development office promotes it for access to the four-lane highway and the new St. Croix bridge. Plants mean tractor-trailers on the dock and straight trucks running parts, and both need working brakes, lights and air systems. We do trailer repair and tractor work in your lot so a down unit doesn't delay a shipment.
Then there's everything rural St. Croix County runs on: farm trucks, dump trucks and contractor equipment for local building projects. Northwood Technical College has a campus here as well. For hydraulic-heavy equipment like dump bodies and wet kits, our hydraulic repair covers hoses, pumps and cylinders on-site.
Spring Thaw on St. Croix County Roads
Out here, spring is hard on the roads. Frost comes out of the ground, county and town roads soften, and potholes appear on routes that were smooth in January. In Wisconsin, counties and towns can post seasonal weight limits on local roads during the thaw. Check before you load heavy for anything that isn't a state highway. Loaded trucks that do run those roads take a beating in the suspension, the tires and the frame.
Winter still brings the usual list. Trucks that sit outside at farms and job sites gel fuel, drain batteries and freeze air dryers. Some cold mornings a truck won't start or throws a derate. Our diesel engine repair covers the fuel system, sensors and aftertreatment right where the truck sits.
How Much Does Mobile Truck Repair Cost in New Richmond?
No two calls cost the same. A leaking hydraulic hose on a dump body is one job. A broken leaf spring pack or a no-start that needs full diagnostics is another. Parts, any special equipment, after-hours timing and the drive from Pine City all count.
We give you an estimate before we start, so the expected cost is on the table first. All repairs and maintenance come with our 12-month warranty, and we accept credit and debit cards.
About New Richmond
New Richmond is in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, on the Willow River, which has a dam near downtown. The 2020 census counted 10,079 residents. Hiram Foster founded the settlement in 1857 as Foster's Crossing. It later took the name of a surveyor, Richmond Day. Lumber built the early town, with a sawmill on the Willow River.
The town's defining event came in 1899, when an F5 tornado killed 111 local residents. It destroyed half the homes and the whole business district. Residents rebuilt most of it by the following winter. Today New Richmond Regional Airport ranks first in Wisconsin with 123 hangars and more than 275 based aircraft.
