Neuman Truck Service handles mobile truck repair in Siren, WI from our base in Pine City, across the St. Croix. Siren is the Burnett County seat and the spot where WIS-35 and WIS-70 cross. Trucks that head north toward Superior, east toward Spooner or back west to Minnesota all pass through the same intersection. When one of them quits, we come to it, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

There's no point hauling a truck out of the north woods for a repair we can do in a parking lot. Air leaks, dead batteries, failed sensors, a hydraulic hose on a plow truck, worn brake shoes: we diagnose and fix those where the truck is. You'll see an estimate before work starts, and every job carries a 12-month warranty. Call (651) 491-4136.

Highways We Cover Around Siren

  • WIS-35
  • WIS-70
  • County Road B

WIS-35 is the north and south route through this part of Wisconsin. South of Siren it runs through Lewis, Frederic and Luck toward St. Croix Falls. North of town it goes through Webster and Danbury on its way into Douglas County and Superior. WIS-70 runs east and west. One way leads back toward Grantsburg and the Minnesota line, and the other leads toward Spooner and the resort country farther east. Burnett County Road B meets the state highways in Siren as well.

The Burnett County Highway Department has its headquarters on State Road 70 in Siren, with more garage sites in Danbury and Trade River. County trucks work from town too. Out on these state highways, help can be a long way off. When a steer tire goes flat on the shoulder, on-site truck tire repair is worth having in your phone.

Serving Siren Fleets

As the county seat, Siren is home to the Burnett County Government Center on County Road K and the county highway department. Lakes ring the village: Big Doctor, Clam, Crooked, Fish and Long Lake are all in the area. WIS-70 is a route to the resort communities of northern Wisconsin and draws recreational traffic from the Twin Cities. For contractors, delivery trucks and service fleets that work the lakes, the busy months are exactly when nobody can afford a truck sitting dead.

Ten miles west on WIS-70, Burnett Dairy Cooperative's main plant makes cheese, and milk trucks run the county roads in every kind of weather. Between scheduled services, that mix of trucks mostly needs hydraulic repair on dump bodies and plow hitches and truck electrical repair on lighting and ABS. Driveline repair on U-joints and carrier bearings is the other common call.

Summer Lake Traffic and Northwoods Winters in Siren

Summer in Siren is about traffic. Cabin and resort weekends crowd WIS-70 and WIS-35, and work trucks spend more time idling and crawling. Cooling systems, fan clutches and A/C compressors take a beating. Our truck A/C repair covers compressors, condensers, leaks and recharges for drivers who live in the cab all season.

Winter is the opposite, with quiet roads, long cold nights and trucks that sit. Gelled fuel and dead batteries are the morning problems, and air dryers that skipped fall service freeze. During WisDOT's frozen road declaration, trucks that haul logs or salt and sand can run up to 98,000 pounds on five or more axles. That applies on state and federal highways in the northern zones. It does not apply on county or local roads unless the local agency allows it. Heavier loads mean more wear, so plan brake repair before the thaw.

How Much Does Mobile Truck Repair Cost in Siren?

No two calls cost the same. The bill depends on the parts, any special equipment, and how long the diagnosis takes. We price a quick air line repair in a lot in town very differently from an hours-long electrical hunt on a plow truck.

Either way, you get an estimate before any work starts, so you know the expected cost. Repairs and maintenance carry a 12-month warranty, and we accept credit and debit cards on site.

About Siren, WI

Siren is a village of 824 people at the 2020 census and the county seat of Burnett County. It covers a little over 1.2 square miles. The surrounding area is full of lakes, including Big Doctor Lake, Clam Lake, Crooked Lake, Fish Lake and Long Lake.

The name has a story behind it. Swedish postmaster Charles F. Segerstrom picked Syren, the Swedish word for lilac. The postal department took it for a misspelling and granted the post office as Siren. The village also rebuilt after a tornado on June 18, 2001, that killed three people and destroyed 175 buildings.
